Armando Fitz: Owner Fitz Racing

Armando Fitz is entering his seventh season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He fielded his first race car in 2001, after purchasing the NASCAR Nationwide Series operation from Felix Sabates at the end of the 2000 racing season. Fitz began his career in motorsports by leading the motorsports division of Creative Sports, and then continued his motorsports evolution by moving to the SABCO team. A Native of Nashville, Tennessee, Fitz graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1987 with a degree in Business and Human Development.

Fitz Motorsports, one of the most prominent teams in the NASCAR Nationwide Series today, began in 2001 when NASCAR veterans Armando and Mimi Fitz purchased the organization from Felix Sabates. Fitz Motorsports is the only certified minority-owned and operated team in NASCAR's top-3 series, and are certified by the Carolina's Minority Supplier Development Council, an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council. The team fields the No. 22 Supercuts Dodge Charger. With one pole, five top-five and five top-ten finishes, the team finished the 2007 season 11th in owner points. Fitz Motorsports also fields cars in the NASCAR Mexico and NASCAR Camping World East Series, where they claimed their first win in 2006 with Hispanic driver Ruben Pardo. Fitz Motorsports is headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina.
