Supercuts of Boston and Greater New England Raise $20,000 for Boston Strong Celeste-a-Thon
All Participating Salons and Spas Raise $121,000 for Two Boston Bombing Victims Survivors
On Monday, May 13, stylists and guests at more than 180 Supercuts salons throughout Boston and Greater New England proudly took part in the Boston Strong Celeste-A-Thon. Together, with a matching donation from parent company Regis Corporation, Supercuts donated $20,000 to the Sydney Recovery Fund.
EMERGE Spa and Salon organized Monday’s Celeste-A-Thon for Celeste Corcoran, a hairstylist at the salon, and her daughter Sydney, who were both severely injured in the Boston Marathon bombings. In addition to Supercuts, more than 20 Boston area salons participated in the one-day event and raised $121,000.
“On behalf of all the participating franchised and corporate Supercuts salons, we are proud to have been involved with the Celeste-a-Thon,” said Bostonian and Supercuts franchisee Mark Muscatello. “We want to thank our parent company Regis Corporation, our stylists and guests who helped us support Celeste and Sydney.”
There are two giving options for those who want to help Celeste and Sydney:
1. Donate to the Celeste & Sydney Fund at Enterprise Bank at 1120 Main Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876
2. Donate to the Celeste and Sydney Recovery Fund online at GoFundMe.com.
